Description
One rare, large octagonal early Qing Dynasty porcelain jardinière with traditional decoration including tree and flower designs with court scene cartouches. This jardinière is most likely, based on the presence of lavender enamel, a piece made during Emperor Yongzheng’s reign which covered the early 18th century. The enameling and decoration are exceptional and precise. The glaze is grey with a hint of celadon.
Very Good, original condition with wear consistent with age and use. There is a firing flaw at the base. See photo.
