This vintage Chinese carved Peking glass snuff bottle features a white opaque body carved in a melon form. With contrasting rich green carved overlay leaves, it is topped with the same colored polished glass bead finial. As mentioned, it is crafted using Peking glass methods; which involve dipping a white or translucent base glass object into a contrasting colored layer (in this case, vibrant green) and meticulously carving away sections to reveal the underlying design.
This snuff bottle is in very good condition with no cracks or major flaws.
