Korean Dragon Soban
Description
This is a Korean Soban, a traditional small, low wooden tray-table. Historically used in Korea during the Joseon Dynasty, these tables served as portable individual dining tables or tea surfaces. Because family members and guests traditionally ate from separate individual tables rather than a shared dining table, soban were designed to be lightweight and compact. The characteristically S-curved legs mimic the visual aesthetic of a tiger's hind legs, blending elegance with stable floor support.
Good, original condition with wear consistent with its age and use.
Dimensions: 8 1/2 x 12 1/4”
