Description

This Chinese porcelain bowl is decorated with a central vase, floral arrangements, and scattered auspicious objects. Noteably, one of the figures is an anubergine elephant. This glaze was reserved for imperial use. The emperors Yongzheng and Qianlong revived and expanded this glaze. Tang Ying, the famous superintendent of the imperial kilns, noted dozens of newly formulated or revived monochrome colors. This bowl also features a rounded profile on a raised ring foot with an orange-enameled line along the rim and foot.

The base of the bowl features a six-character iron-red imperial  seal mark reading "大清咸豐年製" (Da Qing Xianfeng Nian Zhi), indicating it is from the Xianfeng period (1851-1861)
 of the Qing Dynasty.

Good original condition with surface wear consistent with use and wear. There are a few firing flaws seen in overhead photo.

Dimensions: 6 1/2 x 2 1/2”
